We pride ourselves on our friendly, helpful service.

We like to try new ideas and to be as flexible as possible in meeting your needs. To make sure LMH works for our customers, we've draped vast banners down our Talbot Building, and smothered the whole College in flowers. In these difficult times we have been working hard to ensure that we are a COVID Secure venue, and can host your event in a safe way in line with government guidance. CONFERENCE AND EVENTS SUPPORT

Our Support Services

We always start by listening to what you need. You will have a dedicated Event Manager who will work with you closely from the start. We take a very flexible approach and will always do our best to provide you with a tailored experience to make sure your conference or even is exactly what you want. We routinely adapt our food to meet dietary requirements. We provide all the necessary  variations on our menus to meet the individual requirements that you notify to us. We can also provide fully vegetarian or vegan conference catering and banquets. We are happy to provide general support for your event with items such as table plans and name plates.

Event Management

We offer an event management service and can organise all the extra details that help to make an event special, from flowers and lighting to music and entertainment.

 

COVID Secure Venue

We have completed detailed planning to ensure that we comply with the Government’s guidance on managing the risk of COVID-19. This means that:

We have carried out a COVID-19 risk assessment and shared the results with the people who work here

We have cleaning, handwashing and hygiene procedures in line with guidance

We have taken all reasonable steps to help people work from home

We have taken all reasonable steps to to manage transmission risk

 

We are also accredited as ‘Good to Go’ by Visit England. Our risk assessment is available here. Information for delegates can be found here.

 

AUDIO VISUAL SUPPORT AND WI-FI

AV Equipment

The cost of providing and setting up AV equipment and providing help when needed during your conference is included within our room hire rates. The type of AV available and the cost of hiring specific rooms can be found by selecting a room from the ‘Our Rooms‘ page.  The Simpkins Lee Theatre has a projection room, integral AV system and streaming facilities. There is also a fixed, ceiling data projector in Talbot Hall, and streaming will be possible in Talbot Hall from August 2021. Portable data projectors and laptops can be set up in all our main meeting and function rooms. We have a supply of portable exhibition boards, whiteboards and flipcharts stands/pads.

AV Support

Our AV technician will set up your room in advance, and check through everything with you when you arrive. If you would like support during a specific part of your conference, then please let us know and our AV technician will be there when requested. We also check in with you regularly in case of any changes or issues, and will respond immediately if there are any problems. If you book our streaming services or a hybrid conference, then our AV technician will be with you throughout the duration of the conference. If you are not streaming your conference but would like continuous AV support during your event then we can provide that at an additional cost.

When booking one of our main meeting rooms, a Conference Support Office may also be booked out for your staff.

Wi-Fi

Wi-Fi is available throughout the College using ‘The Cloud’ and Eduroam. Delegates who do not have access to Eduroam will need to register with ‘The Cloud‘ in advance or on arrival in order to access the Wi-Fi.
