This room is situated in the original white-brick gothic villa in which LMH students first lived and studied when the College was founded. The unusual name stuck when 'New' Old Hall was built in 1881, and 'Old' Old Hall acquired an extra, distinguishing adjective. Today, Old Old Hall still houses students and Old Old Hall 3 is in regular use as a teaching room.
Old Old Hall 3 has flat access down a long corridor from the entrance to Eleanor Lodge. The corridor connects Eleanor Lodge, New Old Hall and Old Old Hall in one extended internal space. Access to Old Old Hall 3 is also usually available via steps near the front entrance of College, but this is obstructed by the building of a new Porters’ Lodge and Graduate centre at present. Old Old Hall 3 has an attractive bay window overlooking the gardens and has been newly refurbished in 2015.
