With its striking facade of red brick, Eleanor Lodge adds another distinctive note to the architectural variety of LMH. The building overlooks Wolfson Quad on one side, and the gardens on the other. Centrally located, and with ground floor access to all meeting rooms, this building makes an excellent core space for any summer school. It is also a useful additional area for large conferences.

Eleanor Lodge

The Eleanor Lodge building houses a small teaching room, and a larger seminar room, Lodge Seminar, which opens onto the gardens. The building and connecting areas contain 73 student bedrooms, of which 35 are en suite. Eleanor Lodge makes a particularly useful and flexible location for Summer Schools, as up to 22 ground floor bedrooms can be converted to classrooms. The proximity of the Lodge Coaching and Lodge Seminar rooms to Talbot Hall mean that they can be used as breakout rooms for conferences in the Talbot Building.
